Wings Over Weston

May 3, 2025 @ 9:00 am 1:00 pm

Wings Over Weston is a family-friendly celebration that’s all about birds and their habitat needs, especially the forest of Weston Bend State Park. Visitors will witness citizen science in action as state-licensed ornithologists band birds. Operation Wildlife and Raptor Rehab will have live birds for viewing. Additionally, more than 30 stations offer children and families an opportunity to learn about northwest Missouri’s migratory and resident birds. Stations include arts and crafts, face painting, build a house/feeder, mazes, games, guided bird hikes, and more!

A bird of every color of the rainbow passes through Weston Bend State Park, how many can you spot?

All activities will be at the Bee Creek Shelter, located a half mile west of the park’s main entrance on Highway 45 North.

This event is free and open to the public and will be held rain or shine. All items and activities are first-come, first-served and while supplies last.
